The Maryland State NAACP is proud to announce the Education Solutions Conference ! From advocacy to community engagement, the MSC NAACP Education Solutions Conference is intended to enhance collaboration and provide strategies for schools and districts to increase student success. This is about setting an action agenda. The conference will take place at the centrally located Maritime Conference Center in Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The landmark conference brings together experts and leaders to address a wide range of critical education topics, such as equity, reading, discipline, special education, curriculum, instruction, parent involvement, advocacy, etc. This is a unique opportunity for key NAACP, school district, and other leaders from across Maryland to join and gain concrete strategies and actions that will resolve a variety of issues, including student achievement in their counties and districts. Conference Sessions and Topics: The Education Solutions Conference features 2 days with general and concurrent sessions: June 15th, 9:00 AM ‘til 3:40 PM; June 16th, 9:00 AM ‘til 2:40 PM. This MSC NAACP Education Solutions Conference emphasizes parents, community, and education professionals taking away results-based strategies and practices to improve student success. Location: The conference will take place at the centrally located, distinguished Maritime Conference Center and Hotel at 692 Maritime Blvd., Linthicum Heights, MD 21090. The Conference Center is situated on a beautiful, private campus of 80 acres and features auditorium, modern meeting facilities, hotel rooms and suites (even a limited number of "pet-friendly" rooms) as well as onsite dining. Standard amenities in all accommodations include complimentary Wi-Fi, mini refrigerators, flat-screen televisions with cable channels and comfortable work areas with ergonomic chairs. Guests also have access to the fitness room, indoor pool, game room, self-service laundry facility, business centers, ATM, sundry shop, and Deck Club Lounge. Conference Registration: Conference attendees can register online at https://mscedsolutions.eventbrite.com . The conference registration fee is $180.00 and includes all sessions, full lunch, and refreshments.
Hotel Reservations: The MSC NAACP has obtained special rates for June 14 and/or 15, including breakfast and dinner and other amenities: $160 per night for single room or $199 per night for a room for 2 persons (plus taxes and fees). The room rates include full breakfast and dinner service for each guest.
